"SURPRISE, I'M GOIN' TO NORWAY" -Adam

I'm the queen of procrastination, as you can tell.. it took me two weeks to start my blog and now it's been a little over two weeks before my second post.. Life gets kind of hectic being here.

The third ish week had definitely confirmed that we knew our way around Guildford. Well at least the parts we need to go to like Tesco or town. That week went by a lot quicker and we were kind of getting used to how "modules" work and what our professors expect of us. I was -and still am- really enjoying being able to get up 30 minutes before class and dress nicer than I did when I went to class at UCF... Partially because my gym shorts and frat tanks aren't appropriate attire in 40 degree weather.

The weather here has actually been like super bipolar.. It was HAILING one day but the next day I was able to walk to town with no problems. Walking here is much more common than back home and it's definitely a new thing for us. I feel like it's our daily exercise, because we can't really get into a car to drive ourselves anywhere and the landscape consists of hills (we live in stag HILL court). Usually I try to walk somewhere with a distance at least once a day, but (proud of me) I've been going on runs the last few days with one of my flat mates, Pearl.

The first weekend of march (which is kind of where I left off) was the first full weekend that I was in Guildford and will be until May... We went to our on campus night club, which surprisingly gets super packed. People actually like doing things on campus here, which is a little different than back home. That weekend was pretty uneventful because we just went to Rubix (where it's at on campus) and lazed around Guildford. I'm pretty sure that week was the week I was working on graduate applications, which makes me feel more productive than I really am.

Last week went by pretty quickly as well, and it was also Adam's 22nd birthday. I got scolded at least 10 times while making his sash for him. Courtney and I also threw him a mini surprise party, which was a mission and a half to get him to want to leave the house for a hot minute. I went to London last weekend to do something different, since I was getting a little restless and also quite homesick. I saw my aunt, uncle and cousin, as well as my friend Tim. Two of my friends and I walked around Parliament (in fact all the British people here can point us out by hearing our accent) and then walked near the London Eye and found this black box randomly and decided to go in. We ended up getting this really cool personalized pepsi bottle with our individual picture on them. It was AWESOME!

My flatmates and I do a lot of fun things together, like for Adam's birthday, we had a tea party and listened to Adam's "classical music playlist". There was tea, scones, cake pops, Victoria Sponge cake, Coronation Chicken Sandwiches (which I couldn't eat ): ), and other tea time sandwiches. We also eat together and cook together (Pearl always lets me try her food/ makes me some sometimes). We even clean the kitchen together (well Emma, Pearl, Courtney, Abbey and I). Trophy Wife Status.

The laundrette is literally a million miles away.. which another thing I noticed... British people say "litrally" the same amount that Americans say "Oh my God" or "Right?". I think I gained arm muscle from carrying my dirty and clean clothes back and forth. It's also super expensive, but I feel like I've talked about this before..

We made our first spontaneous trip purchase- hence the title of this post. Emma, Courtney, Adam and I are going to NORWAY! On the 28th.. They want to sing Frozen songs in a Fjord... I'm not participating in that one. BUUUUT we're doing so many fun activities while we're there.

This weekend I'm going to Amsterdam (as in two days from now!!) and a lot of the other exchange students will be there too. Then I get back Sunday and have a day to relax before leaving at like 4 am on Monday morning to head to Dublin for the best St. Patty's Day ever! This is going to be the most expensive and most exciting week ever. So much travelling to do and so much time! When I get back though, it's crunch time to get these essays done before leaving for a month long spring break which I'm going to be travelling around mainland Europe with Courtney and Adam.

Oh, and we're going to London for our flatmate, Emma's birthday on the 21st!

OK. I really talk too much, so here are some interesting pics.. if I can figure out how to upload them.
